Last Trip

Day 54 – Caucasian Salamander
Caucasian Salamander (Mertensiella caucasica) is to be found only in Caucasus and Ajara is the best place to spot it. She's been around for millions of years and today her genetics provides scientists with some truly valuable facts about the evolution and history of habitats in Europe since Ice Age.
